Lydia was born on September 12, 1967 to Domingo and Augustina Castaneda in Fredericksburg, TX. After graduating Fredericksburg High School in 1987, she went on to marry and move to Llano, TX. During her time of marriage, she had four children.

Lydia did many years in childcare at Llano Headstart & Lil Dauber Learning Center then later went on to work at Boot Ranch. A job, that she expressed to everyone how much she loved and enjoyed, not only what she did but the people who worked alongside her.

She enjoyed shopping for her grandchildren, video chatting with them anytime possible and going out with friends. She filled the room with laughter all because of her quirky comments. She loved everyone around her and would help anyone in a second with anything they needed because she was just that generous. She will be missed by family, friends, and coworkers because she was just that special to all.

She is preceded in death by her parents Domingo and Augustina Castaneda.

Lydia is survived by her four children, daughter Melinda Munoz and husband Jose Luis Pacheco, daughter Samantha Munoz and husband Joseph Heileson, daughter Veronica Munoz and husband Kristopher Stewart, and son Ricardo Munoz. Seven grandchildren, Luis, Khloe, Saralaya, Elizabeth, Luke, Maya, and Micco. Four Sisters, six brothers, numerous nieces and nephews and countless friends.

A celebration of life was held at Schaetter Funeral Home on Friday, March 14th from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m., with the Rosary commencing at 11:30 a.m.
