Mike was preceded in death by his mother, Sandra Lee Tucker, his father, Curtis B. Tucker, and his biological father, Michael Joseph Povec. He leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion, embodied by his beloved wife, Debbie Coleman Povec, his cherished daughters, Shani Povec, Daisy Povec, and Brittany Arnold, and his proud son, Blake Arnold, who, along with his wife Katie, brought much joy to Mike's life. His sisters, Terri Povec and Beth Kuehnle, will remember him as a protective and caring brother. Mike's role as an uncle was special to him, particularly with his nephews Nicholas Povec, who, along with his wife Christa, and Chris Cool, held a special place in his heart. His brother-in-law, Cecil Leach, along with Mike's six grandsons and two granddaughters, will miss his playful spirit and boundless love.
A proud graduate of Dolgeville Central High School, Mike's work ethic was evident early on and carried him through a remarkable 40year career at Palm Harbor Homes, where he served as an assistant production manager. His colleagues knew him as a man of integrity and dedication, always willing to lend a hand or share a word of encouragement.
Mike's life was characterized by his love for the outdoors and the thrill of competition. He was an avid fisherman and hunter, finding peace and camaraderie in the beauty of nature. Ranching was not just a pastime but a passion, one that allowed him to connect with the land and his roots. His enthusiasm for NASCAR and the Miami Dolphins Football team was infectious, and he enjoyed nothing more than sharing these interests with his friends and family.
Above all, Mike was a family man. His wife, Debbie, was the cornerstone of his life, his soulmate, and partner in every adventure. Together, they created a home filled with laughter, kindness, and unconditional support. Mike's love for his children was unparalleled, and he took immense pride in their accomplishments and the unique individuals they became.
Those who knew Mike would describe him as loving, generous, and selfless. He had a heart that knew no bounds and a spirit that uplifted everyone around him.
