Students in Pre-K through 5th grade stormed the Llano Elementary School on Wednesday, August 7th for the annual Back to School Bash, also known as, Meet the Teacher.

The balloon-arched doors were open from 3:30 - 5:30 p.m. where LES principal Kimberly Stubblefield welcomed each person into the building.

During the bash, students and their families could check classroom assignments and make their way down the busy hallways to their new home-away-from-home. En route to their new classrooms students greeted their friends, popped into old classrooms, and signed up for community events and clubs. Many of the returning students were particularly excited to visit their class pets from the previous year.

Teachers waited by open doors to greet their new students, shake hands with parents, and answer questions. Many educators had laid out a fun activity or a take-home goody bag for their new students.

After all the excitement of being back on campus,  D's Shaved Ice was there to provide a cold treat on the way out.

It was a very happy and well-managed kick off to the school year for Llano's youngest Yellow Jackets.
