Blanco FFA teams have finished competing in the Area VII judging contests over the last two weeks. Four of those teams have placed well enough to advance on to their state contests On April 12, the BHS entomology and meats judging teams competed at the area competition at Texas A&M University and earned their trips to state. On April 14, the BHS wildlife judging team placed well in their area competition at San Angelo State University and qualified for their state contest. The BHS range judging team also qualified for state back in October at their area contest. Congratulations to these teams!
“The ag teachers are very proud of these students who have qualified for state level contests. We are also very pleased with the efforts of all the students who practiced for and competed on a judging team this spring. We greatly appreciate the support of the parents who allow their kids to participate in our program. We had 57 students compete on our 10 judging teams this year. The students traveled to and competed in 29 different contests all over the state of Texas this spring. Those early mornings, late nights, and long bus rides have paid off! Good luck to all of those competing in their state competitions in Corpus Christi, Texas Tech University, Tarleton State University and Texas A&M University over the next two weeks.
