Local Craftsmanship on Display at This Month’s Highland Lakes Quilt Festival
Don’t miss an opportunity to take a chance on “Tranquility,” the donation quilt for the 2025 Quilt Festival. “Tranquility” is a queen size quilt (88” x 88”) sewn by the guild members and quilted by Leslie Sparks. Tickets are available at the show or from guild members.

The Highland Lakes Quilt Guild, which meets in Marble Falls in the Texas Hill Country is gearing up for our fabulous 2025 Highland Lakes Quilt Festival.

It is a quilt show that includes over 100 quilts on display, a guild boutique, a silent auction, 10 vendors, and of course the donation quilt, “Tranquility,” a queen size quilt sewn by guild members and quilted by Leslie Sparks. (Tickets are sold by members and at the festival.) There will also be the popular bits and pieces room – gently loved books, patterns, magazines and all kinds of other quilting goodies.

The festival will be held at The Burnet Community Center, at 401 East Jackson Street in Burnet, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 25- 26. Admission is $10.

HLQG is a non-profit organization where members participate in a variety of community service activities. The group meets once a month at the First United Methodist Church in Marble Falls. It holds planned programs and a ”show and share” time, as well as special projects where members can participate.

The donation quilt, Tranquility, and the show help to fund programs, which include scholarships to adult women returning to school to complete certification in their field of choice, anti-ouch pouches for breast cancer patients, learning with quilts for school libraries and Habitat for Humanity, as well as promoting quilting in the community.
