The Lady Panther softball team improved to 20-2 overall and 7-0 in district with two wins against Brady and a win over Florence this past week.

Ingram is second in the district at 5-2, followed by Llano at 4-3. Blanco is currently ranked fourth on the Texas Girls Coaches Association 3A state poll.

The Lady Panthers defeated Brady 16-1 Monday, March 31. Morgan Clark pitched the four-inning game for Blanco, facing 18 batters, scattering five hits and striking out one hitter.

Candice Lopez went fourfor- four with four doubles, three RBI and two runs scored. Maddie Lopez hit three-for-three with one single, two doubles, three RBI and two runs scored. Kinley Boyd hit two doubles with three RBI. Madison Hunter had a single, a double, one RBI, two runs scored and two stolen bases. Landry Meyer hit a single and a double and scored three runs. Celeste Ledesma hit a single and scored two runs. Kaylee Romero hit a double and had one stolen base. Kynlee Hernandez had a double.

Blanco outscored Brady 17-7 Friday, April 4. Clark pitched six innings of the game facing 25 batters, tossing eight strikeouts with four hits. Boyd pitched one inning facing seven batters with two strikeouts and one hit. Meyer went fourfor- four with three singles, a home run, three RBI, one stolen base and three runs scored. Candice Lopez smacked a single and a home run and scored three runs. Hernandez hit two singles, a double and scored three runs. Mariah Newsome hit a single and a triple Romero had two singles and three RBI. Maddie Lopez hit two singles. Celeste Ledesma made three RBI. Boyd, Newsome and Maddie Lopez each had a stolen base.

The Lady Panthers bested the Florence Buffalo 18-3 Monday, April 7. Statistics will be available next week.

Blanco hosts Florence Friday, April 11 with a single game at 6 p.m.
