Blanco High School students represented their school well on Saturday, 29 March, at the District UIL Academics contest in Llano.
Several teams placed first in district and 15 students will advance to regionals. Regionals is the last step in the UIL Academics series of contests before reaching state. Blanco is currently leading the district by a comfortable margin. The district champions will be determined after the speech and debate round of the contest on Friday, April 4..

Blanco won second place overall in journalism events. Events are individual, with the top three in each event advancing to regionals.
