Sophia Young shot a 73 to win the Llano River Golf Invitational Tournament held Monday, Feb. 10.
Also for the Blanco girls, Adelaide Smith shot 94, Calla Nelson scored 111, Leah Staas tallied 115 and Katie Sapp shot 122.
The Blanco varsity boys team placed third behind Wimberley and Liberty Hill with a 313 team score. Ryan Lovalvo was the third place medalist and shot a 74. Jaxon Millard shot 77, Noah Gallas scored 80, Estevan Vargas shot 82 and Cambel Plahy shot 85.
The Blanco junior varsity boys team won first place with a 360 team score. Sadler Jones shot 75 and was the first place medalist. Liam Dotson shot 87. Weston Savory scored 88. Hank Jones tallied 110. Jack Curry shot 114.
The Blanco boys teams played Tuesday, Feb. 18 in a tournament held at Vaaler Creek and hosted by Blanco. The girls tournament was rescheduled from Wednesday, Feb. 19 to Tuesday, March 11 due to expected sub-freezing conditions.
