Blanco and Johnson City ISDs announced on their official Facebook page that schools will be closed tomorrow, Tuesday January 21st, due to expected overnight wintery weather.
The post from Blanco ISD said, "The forecast indicates that Blanco County is on the edge of the approaching winter storm, which could lead to unsafe travel conditions. Out of extreme caution, we have decided to cancel school on Tuesday, January 21, 2025. The safety of our students and staff is our top priority. Using our inclement weather procedures, we will continue to monitor the weather and assess conditions to determine operations for Wednesday, January 22. Please continue to monitor our social media pages, website, and local news stations for further information. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation."
The post from Johnson City ISD said, "Johnson City ISD: Due to the potential for hazardous road conditions, there will be no school for Johnson City ISD on Tuesday, January 21, 2025. The safety of our students and staff remains our top priority. Please stay safe and monitor district communications for further updates."
