The City of Horseshoe Bay uses CivicReady software to provide emergency and non-emergency alerts to residents via email, text, phone calls, or voicemail. The platform ensures timely and actionable communication during emergencies like wildfires, severe weather, or other significant events requiring immediate action (e.g., evacuation or shelter-in-place). Non-emergency alerts may include transportation updates or other impactful notices.

Residents must register online at the city’s website or by scanning a QR code to customize notification preferences. Alerts are free, though standard text rates may apply. Alternatively, residents can subscribe to text alerts by sending their ZIP code to 38276 or by downloading the CivicReady mobile app for more options. The system prioritizes safety and informed decision-making during emergencies.
