The junior varsity team is 12-2 overall and has an 8-0 district record. The freshman team is 6-9 overall and 6-2 in district.

The Lady Panthers played Llano after press time Tuesday.

“We have two tough games left in district play,” said Blanco coach Jane Karnes. “We play first place Llano on the road, but we played them very close in round one, so that will be an exciting match. Then, we finish with Ingram, who beat Comfort last week and gave us a one game lead to put us in second place. We most likely need to win one of the remaining games to stay in second place. The girls are really starting to play well together, so I’m excited to finish with two tough opponents. That will only help us going into the playoffs.

“Playoffs will start Nov. 4 or 5, and with the new playoff setup, we will most likely face Clyde or Wall.”
