The Herrera House 907 W. Haynie Street Built in 2022, by retirees, Michael and Julie Herrera, this Acadian style home is a blending of French Country with Hill Country accents. The design selection is influenced by extensive travels throughout Europe. The French architecture design features include 12/12 pitched roof lines with belled eaves, 10’ ceilings, floor to ceiling windows in the living room, decorative transom windows in the master bathroom, and art deco interior doors throughout. The flooring is done in a traditional herringbone pattern. The estate encompasses half of a City block, a little over one acre. It is landscaped with cypress, pine, and magnolia trees. There is also a small orchard consisting of apple and peach trees. The grounds are encircled with blue point junipers and pampas grass. The front of the home has a traditional terrace that welcomes you inside. The Llano Woman’s Culture Club Holiday Home Tour on Saturday, December 7, will feature eight stops. Tickets for the tour are $15 or two tickets for $28 which may be purchased from any club member, at the Visitor’s Center, or at the clubhouse on the day of the tour. Proceeds of the tour help to fund the club’s Llano County Scholarship Fund which awards scholarships to outstanding high school students.
