Star Republican Women held its October general meeting at Quail Point in Horseshoe Bay on Tuesday, Oct. 15, at 6 p.m., and what a great meeting it was.
The meeting started with music provided by Brandon Alan, while attendees shopped at a table full of silent auction items. Guests were also treated to a beautiful charcuterie spread and wonderful desserts, and wine, all provided by Star’s Ways and Means and Hospitality Committees.
The evening speakers included: - John Messinger who is running for election for the Place 2 judge of the Texas Third District Court of Appeals, - Wes Virdell who is running for the 2024 Texas House of Representatives, and Congressman Chip Roy.
Additional attendees included: - Sam Silver, Llano County Precinct 1 Justice of the Peace - Peter Jones, Llano County Precinct 1 Commissioner - Marquis Cantu, Llano County Sheriu Elect, and - Perry Thomas, District Attorney for the 33rd/424th Judicial District A surprise visit was made by none other than “the Donald,” who spent time mingling with guests, posing for pictures and encouraging people to support Republican candidates.
