Book Sale Begins This Week

By Patti Grote Attention book lovers! The biggest and best event for buying books at a bargain is back! The Friends of the Library Annual Book and Bake Sale will be held October 24-26 in the Community Building at the City Park (by the football stadium) from 9:00-5:30 each day. We’ve had requests to extend hours to accommodate our working folks, so if you come late, we won’t close the doors on you! Allow plenty of time to browse because we will have hundreds of items to choose from! It’s not too late to donate books or your delicious baked goods.

Please bring them directly to the Community Building starting Wednesday, October 23. Please do not take books or baked items to the library. We also take donations of DVDs, so dust off those movie boxes you haven’t watched in ages and bring them to us!

Please put all donated items in cardboard boxes and do not include books that are water-damaged, dirty, missing pages, or brittle.

We are decorating our space for Fall and Halloween, so stop by to take a picture. Sales are by donation, and all proceeds from the sale go to the library. In the past, FOL funds have been used to purchase the storage building, a new AC unit for the Stribling Room, computer tables and chairs, book display furniture, and additional books and DVDs.
